Dior Spring 2020 Campaign

I actually did an involuntary squeak of joy when I received the email asking me to work with Dior again on their latest campaign. This is the third time now that I have been asked to create content for them and I am still just as honoured as I was back then to be collaborating with one of the most iconic brands EVER! As I am such a small blogger, I never would have thought I would be given an opportunity like this, which makes it feel all the more special and exciting. Dior sells the dreamiest beauty products and I have absolutely loved every single thing I have tried from their range, so I was very excited to be able to try out some new ones! If you haven’t seen my original post then you can see the first set of products I received by clicking here. Inside this campaign’s box, the theme was all things spring, and I want to share with you the gorgeous products I was gifted.

So after receiving this foundation in my previous campaign, it was already my holy grail. In fact, I was slightly terrified about it running out, which meant I was delighted to be getting another bottle of this liquid gold! I opted for a lighter shade this time as I slightly mismatched the last bottle, and this one is perfect! I opt for soft matte rather than glowy for this foundation as I personally think it stays on better and has a nice finish. It’s not a hard matte, so it doesn’t look cakey on the skin, but it just stops it from sliding off your face! I think it gives a nice ‘airbrushed’ look, what more could you ask for in a foundation?

As for the concealer, this was the first time I had tried it, and I LOVE IT. It is quite thick, but blends out really well and has a lovely coverage without looking cakey. When used with the foundation it really helps to finish off that flawless look! For someone who is used to budget concealers, this is definitely a step up, and I don’t think I’ll ever be looking back…

Is it just me or is lipgloss THE makeup trend of the season? I feel like everyone has gone back to the 90s/2000s and rediscovered their love for shiny lips, myself included. I personally prefer glosses / glossy lipstick to matte ones as I think the finish is much nicer and stops your lips from looking dry. If I had to describe this lipgloss, I would say it is essentially spring in a bottle. The shade is 976 ‘Be Dior’ and it’s a gorgeous fuchsia pink with some red tones, which I think is just perfect for this season. It applies really easily and smells so nice. Overall, I’m just obsessed with it to be quite honest.

So if the gloss is spring in a bottle, this is spring in a lipstick. In the same gorgeous shade, this lipstick does a very similar job, but with a less shiny finish. This gives a more satin finish and is lovely when you want a less bold look than the one you get with the gloss. The packaging and bottle of this lipstick is simply gorgeous and quite unique, I think it’s such a great addition to my makeup bag!

This was the makeup look I created with the products I received! I absolutely love how it turned out and think it’s such a cute and fresh spring time look. For the base I used the combination of the foundation and concealer to create a soft matte, airbrushed look. I also used my NARS Afterglow palette for the pink and shimmery shades on my eyes that compliment the lip colour. In this look I used the Dior gloss because I am loving glossy lips at the moment, but the lipstick would have worked just as well! I accented the pink tones in the look by using a bright pink blusher from Benefit and I think it helped it all to come together really nicely. Overall, with pink being one of my favourite colours, this look is just perfect for me!

I am so grateful to Dior for asking to collaborate with me again! I have absolutely loved creating content for them and of course, the products I received are to die for. Being able to try out products from such iconic brands is such a dream for me and I can’t wait to keep creating new looks with these products!
