Holiday Glam: six outfits

Without a doubt, one of the best things about going on holiday, amongst the tanning and cocktail drinking, is spending a week modelling all of your nicest outfits. The hot weather of a foreign country provides the perfect opportunity to show off those summer clothes that don’t usually see the light of day in England…

So, (much to his dismay), I employed my boyfriend as my personal photographer for the week on our recent holiday to Barcelona so that I could share some of my favourite summer looks with you!

Who doesn’t love a co-ord on holiday?? I have a real thing for long, floaty skirts at the moment and when I saw this set in H&M I just had to snap it up! The side split of the skirt and the open back detail of the top really attracted me to this co-ordinate. Accessorised with a white bag and my white platform sandals (that I absolutely ADORE), I found this to be the perfect girly holiday look.

Sandals: Ebay (HINT: these sandals are available on websites such as PLT and InTheStyle,  but if you look on eBay you will find sandals that are EXACTLY the same design and (in my opinion) of a good quality, for half the price!!)

I felt like God was watching over me when I bought this outfit. Firstly, I found these trousers in the Topshop sale, and thanks to a left over giftcard from my birthday, I managed to purchase them for just a fiver!! What’s more, I then discovered these gorgeous white heels in the H&M sale for only £8!! White is such a staple colour for holiday, especially when you start to tan, so I finished off this look with a white bandeau top and shoulder bag, with tortoise shell earrings to match the belt buckle of the trousers.

So I know this isn’t the most colourful of outfits…but I was really feeling the all black on this evening, and sometimes I find that keeping it simple makes for a classier look. I paired my trusty Topshop flares with this cheap, yet pretty bralet from Primark to create the outfit. My accessories were mostly matching but I thought that this white bag helped to split up the all-black ensemble.

I chose this outfit for a slightly more casual evening. I bought this skirt from H&M last year and am still in love with the way it looks and feels on me. I’d like to say that I used this white t-shirt solely to make the outfit more casual, however the reality is that it was for the purpose of covering up my awful sunburn! (But that secret stays between you and me). Once again I accessorised with my favourite sandals and white bag.

If you can’t wear a shimmery gold playsuit on holiday then when can you?? This tasselled number practically has holiday glam written all over it and I couldn’t wait to wear it out in the town! One of my favourite parts about it is the backless detailing that also gives you the ability to tie it as tightly as you need. All in all, I love this look!

My final outfit was once again an absolute bargain, with these PLT shorts coming in at just £6!! I think gold and white are a match made in heaven, particularly on holiday, and I just loved the way this satin blouse looked with the white accessories. I wore this outfit to the famous W hotel of Barcelona, and without a doubt, it is a comfortable, yet glamorous look that is perfect for any nice restaurant or bar!

Alas, the time eventually came to return back to the UK and as a result, am now spending most of my evenings in my pyjamas… I hope you liked the looks in this post and are having the best time putting together your own holiday outfits!
