First Thing’s First…

Ever since deciding that I wanted to create a blog, I have been apprehensive at the prospect of writing that introductory post. I had wanted to skip the awkward introductions and dive straight in to my (hopefully) more engaging content. However my better judgement, and the politer version of myself tells me that it won’t hurt to tell you just a little bit about who I am and why I’ve started this blog.

My name is Alice and I’m a 19 year old student at the University of Birmingham. Studying BA French and English, I am currently plodding my way through second year whilst slowly coming to terms with the intimidating fact that this time round, it actually counts towards my degree.

Since being at university, I have learnt SO much about myself and as cliché as it sounds, I really have grown up over the course of just one year (even though I still have much further to go). Without a doubt, it is my overwhelming, enjoyable and admittedly challenging experience of university so far that has inspired me to start a blog; to get my thoughts together and just write.

 I want to use this page to talk about my personal experiences, in the hope that other students will find my posts relatable. Otherwise, I just want to use my blog to write about anything and everything that interests me- whether it’s stories in the news, tips on student life, fashion or food, you name it. Hopefully my ramblings will form some kind of interesting content, but it’s safe to say I’m learning on the job- so go easy on me.
